D. M. Million was born in Philadelphia and raised in the suburbs of South Jersey. After spending a decade working as a hairstylist and makeup artist, and in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, she realized she had a dream on her heart she needed to pursue… writing.

She embarked on her educational journey at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, from which she now holds a BA in English and Professional Writing. Upon graduation, she was a recipient of the John. J. and Mary A. Burke English Award.

During a creative writing course in which critiquing classmates’ work was a vital part of the program, she realized she had a knack for editing, and so began freelancing for authors. At her company Word Witch®, she helps authors with copyediting, proofreading, and book coaching.

In January 2026, Million established Midnight Haus, a small indie press. Her debut novel, The Coven of Redthorn Manor, will be the house’s first release in October 2026.

Million also publishes co-authored works with best friend and business partner, R. M. Carpus, with their co-owned press, Wraith House.

Million writes Urban Fantasy, Horror, and Dark Fiction.
